The more I hear about the Amazon Kindle, the more I think I want to get one some day. I used to love reading book on my old Palm Tungsten E before it died and the Kindle seems like it would be a step up from that as far as book reading goes. I could, and sometimes do, use my Asus Eee PC for eBook reading but the Kindle battery lasts so much longer.

While investigating the Kindle, I noticed that it comes with a case and that you can buy more if you need to replace the case that came with your Kindle. I read the reviews for that default case and noticed that a lot of people complained about it being too loose or accidentally turning the machine on.

I did some Amazon research for alternative cases for the Kindle and my favorite is the Kroo Reversible Sleeve for Amazon Kindle. It has only been on Amazon about a month and hasn’t been reviewed yet but it seems like it would provide protection when I carry the device in my backpack and would prevent the Kindle from dropping unexpectedly to the ground. Plus the bright red (it comes in a variety of colors) would be easy to find in a backpack.
